Germany dedicates this commemorative coin to the 100th anniversary of the art, architecture and design school Bauhaus. Founded by the architect Walter Gropius on 1. April 1919 in Weimar, one aim was to abolish the distinction between artist and craftsman and to bring a creative revolution in architectural morphology to life. The silver coin in proof quality was designed by the artist Bastian Prillwitz. The reverse shows the Federal eagle, the inscriptions 'SILBER 925', '20 EURO','2019', the twelve European stars, the country 'BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND' and the mint mark of the mint in Hamburg 'J'. The inscription: 'DIE WELT NEU DENKEN' ("to rethink the world") and the geometric symbols triangle, square and circle are on the edge of the coin. The Bauhaus silver proof coin comes in an illustrated blistercard.
