The gold bullion coin from Barbados is dedicated to one of the most extraordinary animals of the ocean - the Seahorse. Struck from one ounce of 99.9% gold, the coin features two seahorses as well as seaweed and a stylized depiction of waves and bubbles. Also included in the design are the inscription "CARIBBEAN GOLD" and the year of issue, 2021. The reverse features the national coat of arms of Barbados, which is decorated with the national flowers and a bearded fig tree. The weight, fineness and denomination are visible on the bottom edge. Seahorses are characterized by their horse-like head and a long prehensile tail. They are found in almost every ocean and usually inhabit the deepest parts of the seas.
