»CHINA PANDA« - TREASURES FROM THE MIDDLE KINGDOM
The most famous and legendary coin from the Middle Kingdom is undoubtedly the so-called China Panda. Thanks to the annually changing motive, the China Panda coins are popular and in high demand among investors and collectors alike. The coins feature one of China's most iconic native animal species: the giant panda. This is considered a symbol of good luck and generally represents harmony and patience. The reverse features the image of the famous Temple of Heaven in Beijing. The national symbol of China has been part of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage since 1998. The China Panda in gold has been issued by the People's Bank of China since 1982 and is probably the most popular bullion coin in Asia. The Silver Panda is also one of the most popular silver bullion coins in the world and has been issued by the China Mint since 1983. Another unique feature of the Chinese Panda coins is that their weight is in grams instead of ounces.
