This 2 Euro coin from Luxembourg is a collective issue of all member states of the eurozone on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Erasmus Programme. The Erasmus Programme is the world's largest funding program of the European Union, which supports stays abroad at universities in Europe. The motive by the French designer Joaquin Jimenez features the namesake of the funding program - Erasmus of Rotterdam. In the background, a stylized network of lines depicts the exchange between European students. The anniversary number "35" can be seen in graphic style within the lines. The design of the coin differs in the individual member states only by the arrangement and spelling of the country identification, as well as the occasion of issue at the bottom edge of the coin. The commemorative coin in uncirculated quality is delivered in an illustrated blistercard.
