The green niobium core of the 25 Euro coin features a human. In the background are two deciduous trees and one part of the world. Numerous examples of environmental destruction are depicted on the outer silver ring. The niobium core of the value side depicts footprints, the year 2018 and another part of the world. The motive is supposed to symbolize the traces we humans have already left on our planet. The ring of silver shows creatures from different eras and the inscriptions "„REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH“, „25 EURO“ „ANTHROPOZÄN“. What makes the Silver Niobium coins so special is the fact that their niobium tones arise without the application of colour, purely through light refraction on an extremely thin, transparent oxide layer.
