In 2017 the South African Mint celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Krugerrand bullion coins. This gold coin was struck in perfect proof quality and was graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) to be a flawless Proof 70 Ultra Cameo. The anniversary coin has the classic design and is provided with a Privy Mark "50 Years Anniversary 1967-2017".
