This unique Silver Miniature from the New Zealand Mint is dedicated to the biggest villain in the STAR WARS™ saga - Darth Vader™. He is not only the main villain of the saga, but also one of the most dramatic characters. Born as Anakin Skywalker™ and prophesied as a chosen Jedi Knight to renew balance of force, he fell more and more into the dark side of the force. The Chancellor of the Republic and Sith Lord Darth Sidious™ Palpatine™ seduced him to the dark side until he finally became Darth Vader™. After losing the fight against his former Jedi Master Obi-Wan™, forfeiting his second arm and both legs, he got the unmistakable helmet and black armor. As the executor and servant of the Emperor™, he committed numerous murders and became the main villain of the Rebel Alliance. Just before he died, he saved his son Luke Skywalker™ by confronting the Emperor™. Lying in the arms of his son, he confessed himself to the bright side of force with his last breath. This particular collector's item from 150g silver measures an approximate height of 9cm and was designed by the well-known sculptor Alejandro Pereira Ezcurra. On the base of the silver miniature the unique production number and the copyright can be seen. The strictly limited collector´s figure is delivered in the original box of the mint including a STAR WARS™ packaging.
