Description
Reformation - 500th Anniversary
20 Euro - 18 gr. Silver - Uncirculated
- 18 Gram Silver
- Coin of the German Mint Berlin - Mintmark A
- Mintage 800,000 pieces
This 20 Euro silver commemorative coin celebrates the 500th Anniversary of the church reformation. In 1517 Martin Luther famously nailed his 95 theses to the doors of Wittenberg Church, thus starting the reformation. In his texts he demanded that religious questions of faith be strictly answered by the bible and religious diversity, with different confessions, was created. The averse of the coin displays Martin Luther with a symbolic presentation of his 95 theses.
