The Series Eastern Caribbean 8 includes bullion coins from the eight member states of the Eastern Caribbean Islands - Antigua & Barbuda, Anguilla, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. This premium bullion coin from Antigua & Barbuda commemorates the colonial era in the Caribbean and the piracy associated with the coveted rum of the Caribbean islands. At that time, pirates hijacked merchant ships to capture rum and smuggle it to the heavily taxed colonies of North America and the West Indies. The design of the 2020 "Rum runner" issue features an 18th century pirate ship loaded with rum to mark the occasion. The country name "Antigua & Barbuda" and the year 2020 are also included in the design. The reverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the inscription "Eastern Caribbean Centralbank", the denomination, weight and fineness. The limited gold bullion coin is delivered in a coincard.
