The gold bullion coin is the third issue of the Australian Nugget Series from the Perth Mint. After dedicating the first two issues of the Series to the "Welcome Stranger" and the "Hand of Faith" nugget, the Australian mint celebrates the discovery of the "Golden Eagle" nugget with this issue. Weighing 32.20 kg, the nugget is visually reminiscent of an eagle with outstretched wings and was found in Larkinville (Australia) in 1931. To this day, the Golden Eagle Nugget is considered the largest nugget ever discovered in Australia. The nugget is depicted on the motive of the coin and is framed by the inscriptions "AUSTRALIAN NUGGET", "GOLDEN EAGLE 1931" and "2021 1oz 9999 GOLD". The reverse features the Jody Clark portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination. The limited premium bullion coin is delivered in a protective coin capsule.
