The Premium Bullion coin is the fourth issue of the Australian Nugget Series from the Perth Mint. The coin was struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure gold in uncirculated quality. After dedicating the first three issues of the series to the "Welcome Stranger", "Hand of Faith" and "Golden Eagle" nugget, the Perth Mint celebrates the discovery of the "Little Hero" nugget with this issue.

The 333-ounce nugget was discovered near Marble Bar in Western Australia in 1890, causing quite a public stir, when it was exhibited at the Union Bank office in Perth. The nugget is depicted on the motive and is framed by the inscriptions "AUSTRALIAN NUGGET", "LITTLE HERO 1890" and "2022 1oz 9999 GOLD". The reverse features the Jody Clark portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination. The limited gold bullion coin is delivered in a protective coin capsule.
