1 Oz Gold - Uncirculated
- 2nd Release in the new series "Gold Rush"
- Bullion Coin
- 1 Oz 99,999% pure Gold
- Delivery in Blistercard
The new gold bullion coin series from the Royal Canadian Mint is dedicated to the 125th Anniversary of the world-famous Klondike Gold Rush (1896-1899) in Canada. The second issue is also titled "Panning for Gold" and was struck from one ounce of 99.999% pure gold. The detailed motive depicts the process of gold panning with the help of a gold trough. In the process, the mixture of gold and gravel was in a box, with water poured into the upper part of the box. The oscillating movements caused the gold to settle in the grooves on the bottom of the box. The motive is surrounded by the inscriptions "CANADA 2022", "FINE GOLD 99999 1 OZ OR PUR" as well as a small maple leaf engraved with the year of issue. The reverse features the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the denomination "200 DOLLARS". The discovery in 1896 and the following gold rush in Klondike played a very important part in Canada's history and is now in its 125th anniversary year. It sealed not only Canada's fate as one of the world's leading gold producers, but also had a devastating impact on local indigenous communities and the environment. The 200 Dollar Canadian gold coin is delivered in the original blistercard from the Royal Canadian Mint.
