The Libertad coin in gold has been issued by the Banco de México since 1981. The coin, which is also called Onza, has no fixed denomination and is nevertheless a legal tender in Mexico. This 2022 Libertad coin was struck from one ounce of 99.9% gold in uncirculated quality. As in every year, the motive depicts the goddess of victory Victoria as a symbol of Mexico's independence.
