In 2025, Spain has issued the fourth ever 1/10 oz bullion coin in the history of the country. Struck from 99.99% pure gold in uncirculated quality, the motive of the coin features a depiction of an Imperial Eagle. Surrounding the motive are the inscriptions "15 EURO CENT", "ÁGUILA IMPERIAL" and "2025". As one of the oldest global currencies, the reverse of the coin features two crowned globes floating above the sea. They are flanked by the columns of Heracles on each side, in which two ribbons are waving with the Latin motto "PLUS ULTRA" (engl. ever on). Also included are the inscription "FELIPE VI REY DE ESPAÑA" as well as the weight and fineness of the gold coin.

The Imperial Eagle (spa.: Aquila Heliaca) has symbolized dominion, power, strength and heroism for thousands of years. While eagles are commonly referred to as the “rulers of the skies”, the imperial eagle is an apex predator that plays a significant role in the ecosystem in which it lives. After the majestic bird of prey was almost wiped out around 190 years ago, populations are now threatened in particular by habitat loss and illegal hunting, which is why the imperial eagle is classified as “endangered” by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). The fourth ever 1/10 oz bullion coin from Spain is delivered in a protective coin capsule.
