In 2018, The Simpsons reached an incredible milestone becoming the longest-running primetime scripted show in television history.
Struck by the Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.99% pure gold, the coin in uncirculated quality portrays the word "D’OH!” above Homer in his iconic catchphrase pose.
A half-eaten glazed donut with sprinkles, Homer’s favourite treat, replaces the letter O in D’OH. Also included in the design is the inscription "TM & © 2019 FOX", the Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, Matt Groening’s signature and a background of sprinkles from Homer’s famous donut.
The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2020 year-date, the coin’s weight "1oz", the fineness "9999 GOLD" and the monetary denomination "100 DOLLAR" are depicted on the obverse.
The limited Homer Simpson gold bullion coin is housed in a protective acrylic capsule.
