The new Royal Australian Mint series "Mini Money" is dedicated to the native animals of Australia. The second issue features the largest member of the kingfisher family - the Kookaburra. Along with the kangaroo and koala, the kookaburra is the most familiar representative of the Australian fauna and one of the most popular symbols of Australia. The kingfisher is also the official national bird of Australia. It is also called "laughing Hans" in German. It owes this name to its loud call, which is comparable to human laughter, and which it prefers to sound in the early morning and late evening. The motive of the coin depicts a kookaburra sitting on a tree branch. The reverse of the coin features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the denomination "5 DOLLARS" as well as the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II" and "AUSTRALIA 2022". The limited gold coin was struck by the Royal Australian Mint from half a gram of 99.99% pure gold and is delivered in a presentation capsule including a certificate of authenticity.
