This rectangular gold coin was struck by the renowned Perth Mint from 10 gram of 99.99% pure gold and is dedicated to the Australian Wedge-Tailed Eagle. The design by John M. Mercanti features the distinctive profile of a Wedge-Tailed Eagle in the foreground and a Bald Eagle in the background. Both birds of prey face to the right and are depicted within an oval frame. The design is complemented by the inscriptions “AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE” and the year of issue, 2026. The reverse features the effigy of King Charles III designed by Dan Thorne, together with the issuing country, denomination, weight and fineness.

The Wedge-Tailed Eagle is Australia’s largest bird of prey and one of the continent’s most impressive native animals.
