The Perth Mint dedicates this rectangular gold bullion coin to the Chinese dragon. In Chinese culture, the dragon is revered as a divine mythical creature, a symbol of power, strength, wealth, and good fortune. Dragons are also believed to be the rulers of water and weather. The motive of the coin depicts a stylised Chinese dragon chasing a flaming pearl. The mintmark 'P' of the Perth Mint is also included in the design. The reverse shows the Jody Clark effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination "100 DOLLARS", the year of issue "2022" and the weight and fineness "1oz 9999 Au". The mintage is limited to only 8,888 pieces worldwide. The rectangular bullion coin was struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure gold and is delivered in a protective coin capsule.
