The 2025 issue of the Australian Lunar Series III of the Perth Mint is dedicated to the Year of the Snake. The snake is the sixth animal in the Chinese zodiac calendar. The sixth issue of the 12-year Lunar III Series features a detailed depiction of a snake winding elegantly between bamboo stalks. The design also includes the Chinese character for "Snake", the inscription "SNAKE 2025" and the Perth Mint's mintmark "P". The reverse shows the portrait of King Charles III as well as the denomination and the fineness. The mintage is limited to only 20,000 pieces worldwide.

The zodiac sign of the snake is said to have particularly strong intuition, wisdom, intelligence and good powers of observation. Anyone born under the sign of the snake in 2025, 2013, 2001, 1989, 1977, 1965 and every 12th year before that is considered to be cultured, sensitive and philosophical as well as artistically inclined.
