Following the rat, the Ox is the second animal in the Chinese zodiac calendar. The motive depicts a strong ox surrounded by the branches of a willow, symbolic of humility. Additionally, the inscriptions "YEAR OF THE OX", the Chinese character for "ox", as well as the weight and fineness are included in the design. The reverse features the lunar calendar wheel, with all 12 animals on the wheel, the Jody Clark portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the denomination and the year of issue. Those born under the sign of the Ox are considered strong-willed, determined and particularly reliable. The conscientious ox is characterized by high moral standards for himself and others, as well as his strong sense of duty. The limited Year of the Ox premium gold bullion coin is delivered in a protective capsule.
