The seventh issue of the Royal Australian Mint's new Lunar series was struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure gold and is dedicated to the Year of the Horse. The horse is the seventh animal in the Chinese zodiac calendar. The seventh issue in the Lunar Series, which spans 12 years, features a detailed image of a horse. It is surrounded by gingko, which is traditionally regarded as a symbol of hope, resilience and strength. The motive is complemented by the Chinese character for “Horse”, as well as the inscription “YEAR OF THE HORSE” and details of the coin's fineness and weight. The reverse shows the lunar calendar wheel with all 12 animals and in the center the Dan Thorne portrait of King Charles III as well as the denomnination and the year of issue.
The Lunar Year of the Horse is one of the twelve zodiac signs in the Chinese calendar and symbolizes energy, freedom, and joy of life. Horses are considered lively, intelligent, and independent - they love to move freely and seek new experiences. People born in the Year of the Horse (e.g. 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014) are known for their enthusiasm, optimism, and ambition. They are often sociable, popular, and full of drive. However, they can also be impatient, impulsive, and sometimes stubborn, especially when they feel restricted. The Horse represents strong intuition, which helps these individuals make quick decisions. The limited Year of the Horse premium gold bullion coin is delivered in a protective capsule.
INFO: If you order 10 coins, we will deliver them in the original Royal Australian Mint roll.
