The third issue of the new Lunar Series was struck by the Royal Australian Mint from one ounce of 99.99% pure gold and is dedicated to the Year of the Tiger. Following the rat and the ox, the tiger is the third animal in the Chinese zodiac calendar. The motive depicts a majestic tiger standing on rocky outcrop, surrounded by pine branches that represent his strength. In addition, the inscription "YEAR OF THE TIGER", the Chinese character for "tiger" and the weight and fineness are engraved. The reverse features the lunar calendar wheel, with all 12 animals on the wheel, the Jody Clark portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the denomination and the year of issue. The Tiger generally stands for courage, spiritedness and bravery and excels as a born leader privately and professionally. Tigers are very success-oriented, but can also be prone to impatience. The limited Year of the Tiger premium gold bullion coin is delivered in a protective capsule.
INFO: For investors the coins are delivered per 10 in the Original-Roll of the Royal Australian Mint.
