The second issue of the Australian Shipwreck Series is dedicated to the sailing ship Vergulde Draeck (Gilt Dragon). The triangular-shaped bullion coin was struck by the Royal Australian Mint from 1 ounce of 99.99% pure gold. The motive depicts the ship surrounded by decorative maritime ornaments. The reverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and depicts scenes from the dramatic story of the Vergulde Draeck. The strictly limited gold bullion coin is delivered in a triangular-shaped capsule with a certificate of authenticity of the Royal Australian Mint.
