The bullion coin from the World's Wildlife series was struck from a 1/10 ounce of 99.9% gold and is dedicated to the giraffe. The motive of the coin issued in 2024 takes up the design of the first issue of the popular series from the Congo, which was released in 2019, and shows the portrait of a giraffe from the side. The inscriptions “THE GIRAFFE” and “WORLD'S WILDLIFE” outline the design. The reverse features the coat of arms of the Democratic Republic of the Congo as well as the denomination, year of issue, weight and fineness. With an impressive height of up to six meters, giraffes are the largest mammals living on land. Each individual is characterized by a unique fur pattern, which can be compared to the individual fingerprint of a human being.
