The STAR WARS™ Premium Bullion Coin - Millennium Falcon™ was struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure gold by the New Zealand Mint. The motive shows an officially licensed image of the Millennium Falcon™. The rebel alliance logo is depicted in the background. The design also includes the inscription "1 oz 9999 Fine Gold", the copyright of Lucasfilm™ Ltd. and the logo of the New Zealand Mint. On the reverse is the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "NIUE", "250 DOLLARS" and "2021". The legendary Millennium Falcon™ was a heavily modified YT-1300 light freighter flown by Han Solo™ and his co-pilot Chewbacca™ for the Rebel Alliance. The ship's somewhat run-down appearance is deceiving: hidden inside the Millennium Falcon™ was high-tech equipment that proved itself in several battles during the Rebellion.
