The first issue of the Black Flag series is dedicated to one of the world's most notorious pirate ships, the Queen Anne's Revenge, commanded by Blackbeard. The coin was struck by the Perth Mint from 1 ounce of 99,99% pure gold and shows the Queen Anne's Revenge, sailing through a rough sea with Blackbeard's flag. Clouds shaped like a skull can be seen in the background. The design also includes the inscriptions "QUEEN ANNE'S REVENGE", "BLACK FLAG: BLACKBEARD", the weight, fineness and the traditional mintmark "P" of the Perth Mint. The Jody Clark effigy of Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination are depicted on the coin´s obverse. The strictly limited gold coin is delivered in the original box including a certificate.
