The kangaroo is without a doubt one of the most popular representatives of the Australian wildlife. The 2020 motive of the Australian Kangaroo High Relief gold coin features an adult kangaroo on a grassed plain and a Joey in the background. The two kangaroos are framed by native Australian grass trees. The design also includes the inscriptions "AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO", "2020 2oz 9999 GOLD" and the traditional mintmark "P" of the Perth Mint. The coin was struck from 2 ounces of 99.99% pure gold. The Jody Clark portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the denomination are depicted on the reverse of the coin. The mintage is strictly limited to only 250 pieces worldwide. The gold proof coin is delivered in the original wooden box including a numbered certificate of authenticity from the Perth Mint.
