The 2015 issue of the Wedge-tailed Eagle was struck by the Perth Mint from 1 ounce of 99.99% pure gold. The motive depicts a magnificent Wedge-tailed eagle in flight. In addition the inscription "Wedge-tailed Eagle", the year of issue, the fineness and the traditional Mintmark "P" of the Perth Mint are included in the design. The reverse shows the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the denomination. The Wedge-tailed eagle is one of the biggest eagles in the world. His impressive wings have a wingspan of up to 2.7 meters. The limited Wedge-tailed eagle High Relief coin is delivered in the original wooden box including a numbered certificate of authenticity from the Perth Mint.
