The 2025 Ultra High Relief edition of the Wedge-Tailed Eagle was struck by the Perth Mint from one ounce of 91.67% pure rose gold in reverse proof. This year's Wedge-Tailed Eagle design is once again a collaboration with renowned US engraver John M. Mercanti and features a majestic wedge-tailed eagle. The motive is framed by the inscriptions “AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE” and “2025 1oz ROSE GOLD”. Also included in the design is the traditional Perth Mint 'P' mintmark. The reverse features the portrait of King Charles III and the denomination “100 DOLLARS”.

The wedge-tailed eagle is one of the largest eagles in the world. Its wings measure a wingspan of up to 2.7 meters. This impressive animal is mainly found in Australia, Tasmania and southern Papua New Guinea and feeds mainly on reptiles and small mammals.
