The first animal in the Chinese zodiac calendar is the mouse, which is honored and celebrated with this coin. The first issues of the 12-year- Lunar III series feature original artwork of the little fearless explorers. The small rodents are very curious and explore their surroundings every day. Due to their rich imagination and strong intuition, mice can rely on their ability to memorize places, paths, obstacles, feeding spots and other things. The motive of the 99.99% pure gold coin portrays a mouse among corn stalks. Also included in the design are the Chinese sign for ‘mouse‘, the inscription ‘MOUSE 2020‘ and the mintmark ‘P‘ of the Perth Mint.
