This set consisting of three unique domed coins includes the first, second and third issue of the new Lunar Series from the Royal Australian Mint. Each of the three coins included in the set was struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure gold. The coins are dedicated to the Year of the Tiger 2022, the Year of the Ox 2021 and the Year of the Rat 2020. The motive of the coin for the Year of the Tiger depicts a graceful tiger on a rocky ledge. He is surrounded by several pine branches, symbolic of his character strength. Additionally engraved are the inscriptions "YEAR OF THE TIGER", the Chinese character for "tiger", and weight and fineness. The tiger stands for courage, enthusiasm and bravery and excels - privately and professionally - as a born leader. Tigers are very success-oriented, but can also tend to impatience. The motive of the coin for the Year of the Ox shows a strong ox surrounded by the branches of a willow, symbolic of humility. In addition, the inscriptions "YEAR OF THE OX", the Chinese character for "ox" and the weight and fineness of the coin are engraved. Those born under the sign of the Ox are considered strong-willed, determined and particularly reliable. The conscientious ox is characterized by high moral standards for himself and others, as well as his strong sense of duty. The motive of the coin for the Year of the Rat shows a rat framed by lychee, the Chinese character for "rat", the inscription "YEAR OF THE RAT" and weight and fineness. Those born under the sign of the Rat are considered smart, resourceful, adaptable and friendly, and live according to the motto "all or nothing". Even if the Rat sometimes exaggerates, it always falls on its feet and picks itself up again. The reverse of the three gold coins features the Jody Clark portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, as well as the denomination and year of issue. The limited Lunar coin set consisting of three domed gold coins - Year of the Tiger, Year of the Ox and Year of the Rat is delivered in the original boxes of the Royal Australian Mint including numbered certificates of authenticity.
