The Perth Mint dedicates this rectangular coin, struck from one ounce of 99.99% gold, to the Chinese dragon. In Chinese culture the dragon is revered as a divine mythical creature and as a symbol of power, strength, wealth and happiness. It is also believed that dragons are the rulers of water and weather. On the motive of the gold coin, the dragon is classically portrayed with a flaming pearl amidst clouds. The reverse shows the Jody Clark portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions "AUSTRALIA", "ELIZABETH II", "100 DOLLARS" and "2019". The strictly limited gold coin in proof quality is presented in a clear acrylic case, allowing both sides of the coin to be displayed. The coin is delivered in the original box including a numbered certificate of authenticity.
