This wonderful coin from the Perth Mint was struck from one ounce of 99.99% gold and depicts a Golden Dragon chasing a 'flaming pearl'. In Chinese culture, the dragon is considered a divine being and a powerful symbol of might, strength, wealth and happiness and is a metaphor for wisdom and enlightenment. For the Chinese guardian to catch the treasure, he is usually depicted with his mouth and his eyes wide open. Dragons are also believed to be the rulers of water and weather. On the reverse of this coin is the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the year of issue 2019, the denomination $100 and the traditional "P" mintmark of the Perth Mint. This extremely limited gold coin is delivered in the original wooden box of the Perth Mint including a numbered certificate of authenticity.
