The special set from the new Series Beauty, Rich & Rare is dedicated to the oldest tropical rainforest on earth - the Daintree Rainforest. The set contains twice the second issue of the series and consists of a silver coin and a gold coin in domed shape. The convex side of both coins has been colored and shows the emerald green canopy of the rainforest, which is surrounded by trees arranged in a circle. Each design is completed by the inscriptions "DAINTREE RAINFOREST", "2022 BEAUTY, RICH & RARE" and the denomination. The domed shape adds depth to the design, creating a particularly realistic effect. The reverse shows a depiction of a reef and also picks up elements of the leaf roof again. the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the weight, fineness and the inscription "AUSTRALIA" complete the design.

The Daintree Rainforest is located in the north-east of Australia in the state of Queensland and occupies only a very small part of the total area of Australia - yet it is home to about 30 percent of all mammal species, 65 percent of all butterfly and bat species and 20 percent of the bird species in the whole of Australia. In addition to crocodiles, snakes and poisonous jellyfish, the 180-million-year-old rainforest is also home to the blue-headed, flightless cassowaries. The birds reach a body size of up to 2 meters and have very sharp claws and beaks. In the past, they have often been conspicuous for their aggressive behavior and are therefore considered "the most dangerous birds in the world". Nevertheless, if you don't want to miss the primeval magic of the rainforest, which even has an underground tree trunk system, you can explore it via a treetop path, various trails and the Daintree River.
