This Royal Australian Mint gold coin set consists of a total of 4 x 1/4 Oz coins and is dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the Port Phillip Gold Pattern. All coins included in the set were struck from 99.99% pure gold in proof quality and pay homage to the original designs of the first Australian kangaroo bullion coins, also known as the "Port Phillip Pattern". The last surviving examples are highly sought-after by collectors and have an extremely high collector value. In addition to the kangaroo, the design also features the inscriptions "PORT PHILLIP", "AUSTRALIA" and "1853-2023" as well as the weight and fineness of the coin. The reverse presents the Jody Clark portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the years of her reign, the denomination "25 DOLLARS" and the inscriptions "PURE AUSTRALIAN GOLD" and "AUSTRALIA 2023".
