The gold coin from the series "100 Years Olympic Movement" is dedicated to the Olympic god Zeus. Minted in proof quality, the motive features the head of Zeus flanked by the Olympic torch, the Olympic rings, as well as the inscription "1896-1996 OLYMPIA". The reverse depicts a Greek style temple with a charioteer standing in front of it on a pedestal. Also included in the design are the inscriptions "1995", "REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH" and "1000 SCHILLING". In addition, the motto of the Olympic Games "CITIUS - ALTIUS - FORTIUS" is struck on the smooth edge of the coin. The commemorative coin is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity.
