On the occasion of the 2000th anniversary of Christianity, the Austrian Mint has issued this uncirculated gold coin dedicated to the Birth of Christ. The motive depicts an iconographically codified pose of Jesus Christ as the ruler of the world. He wears a wide robe with a decorated collar, his head is surrounded by a Nmibus with a cross. In his left hand he holds a book while raising three fingers of his right hand. The reverse shows a depiction of the Holy Night and the adoration of the Christ Child by the Magi, Caspar, Melchior and Balthazar as well as the state of issue and the denomination. The limited commemorative coin is delivered in the original box including a numbered certificate of authenticity.
