The motive pays tribute to the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) and its major role in history at the end of World War II. The inscriptions "CANADA", "1945" and "2020" are also part of the design. The reverse shows an effigy of King George VI., the reigning monarch in 1945. The strictly limited gold proof coin is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity from the Royal Canadian Mint.
