Description
Two Crowns
1 Oz Gold - Proof
- 99.99% pure Gold
- Limited Mintage only 425 pieces
- With Certificate of Authenticity
- Delivery in original Box
The gold coin was struck by the Royal Canadian Mint from one ounce of 99.99% pure gold and is being issued in honor of the first crown jubilee of King Charles III. The design of the coin, entitled “Two Crowns”, features a stylized St. Edward's Crown, the historic headdress worn by King Charles III at his coronation on May 6, 2023, as well as the Canadian Royal Crown, which appears on a coin for the first time with this issue.
This new royal crown, created by the Canadian Heraldry Authority, was approved for use as a perpetual emblem by King Charles III on April 6, 2023. With distinctly Canadian elements - from the maple leaves on the edge of the crown to the snowflake that resembles the insignia of one of our highest honors - the Canadian Royal Crown expresses the history and identity of this country. The design also includes the inscription “CANADA 2024” and national symbols that represent the historical, cultural and sovereign ties between Canada and the United Kingdom. Limited to 425 pieces, the gold coin in proof quality is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity from the Royal Canadian Mint.
