In honour of the 30th anniversary of the Maple Leaf Silver bullion coin, the Royal Canadian Mint issued this exquisite coin of 99,99% gold with a Maple Leaf 3D design element. It is the first coin of the Royal Canadian Mint which features a silver-cast element on the reverse. The maple leaf 3D element of 99,9% pure silver is the star of this special gold coin. Highly intricate casting reproduces each lobe’s sharply pointed edges and the deeply imprinted veins that give this undulated leaf a natural look. High intricacy casting gives the maple leaf more dimension and depth than otherwise possible. The 1,90 grams silver-cast maple leaf of 99,9% pure silver is the star of this special gold coin. The engraved surface of the gold coin features a reverse proof finish, along with the words “CANADA” and “30 YEARS/ANS”, the face value “200 DOLLARS” and the dates “1988-2018”. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. The Royal Canadian Mint certifies all of its collector coins, meaning that each certificate is given a unique number. This first-class collectible coin is encapsulated and carefully enclosed in a luxurious wooden case.
