  • Privy Mark 25th Anniversary of Canada’s national arboreal emblem
  • Limited Mintage only 500 pieces

The Canadian Maple Leaf is undoubtedly one of the most famous and popular coins in the world. This 2021 issue celebrates the Canadian classic and was struck by the Royal Canadian Mint from 1 ounce of 99.99% pure gold as Piedfort coin in Reverse Proof. The mintage is limited to only 500 pieces worldwide. First struck in 1979, the Maple Leaf was the first investment coin in 999.9 fine gold. The traditional motive - the Maple Leaf - is both a national symbol and ambassador of Canada. It also adorns the obverse of this Piedfort gold coin, which is distinguished by the fact that it is twice as thick as a normal coin of the same weight and metal. The background, finely engraved with laser technology, shows more maple leaves. In addition, the design includes a privy mark for the 25th Anniversary of Canada’s national arboreal emblem and the inscriptions "CANADA", "9999" and "2021". The reverse features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the denomination. The limited Maple Leaf Piedfort Gold Coin in Reverse Proof is delivered in the original box including a numbered certificate of authenticity of the Royal Canadian Mint.
