To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Maple Leaf Gold Coin in 2019, the Royal Canadian Mint presents the first ever struck 2 oz Gold Maple Leaf coin. The mintage is strictly limited to only 175 pieces worldwide. First struck in 1979 the Maple Leaf was the first investment coin of 999.9 fine gold. The motive of the canadian classic - the Maple Leaf - is a national symbol and the ambassador of Canada. The special feature of this anniversary gold coin is its finely engraved background using laser technology. The small imprints of the "40" and the Maple Leaf give this coin a very special finish. In addition, the inscriptions "CANADA", "FINE GOLD 2 OZ OR PUR" and a "9999" can be found on the coin. The reverse of this unique gold coin depicts the portrait of the English Queen, the denomination and the year 2019. The limited Maple Leaf gold coin is delivered in the original wooden box with a certificate of the Royal Canadian Mint.
