This magical coin has been issued by the Monnaie de Paris in honor of Hedwig™ - the faithful companion of Harry Potter™. Struck from a 1/4 ounce of 99.9% gold, the motive features the snowy owl in flight while holding the magic broom "Nimbus 2000" in its claws. The Great Hall of Hogwarts™ is depicted in the background. The reverse features the Hogwarts™ coat of arms with the four houses of Gryffindor™, Ravenclaw™, Hufflepuff™ and Slytherin™. Each house is represented by an animal - a lion, a raven, a badger and a snake. The denomination "50 EURO" and the Harry Potter™ logo are also included in the design.
