On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the death of Napoleon Bonaparte, CIT has issued this gold coin. The motive features a famous painting of Napoleon, that shows him wearing his bicorne and characteristic soldier uniform. The inscription "NAPOLEON BONAPARTE" and the year of issue can be seen in the background. The reverse shows the coat of arms of the Mongolian National Bank as well as weight, fineness and denomination. Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821) was a French emperor and conqueror. He is considered one of the most outstanding commanders and rulers in history, and was crowned emperor in 1804 at Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral after a coup d'état. His constant desire for power and expansion of his territories led to his exile to the Atlantic island of St. Helena after his defeat at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. He lived on the island until his death in 1821. The commemorative Napoleon Bonaparte gold proof coin is delivered in a protective coin capsule.
