The second issue of the new James Bond™ Legacy Series was struck by the Perth Mint from 1/4 ounce of 99.99% pure gold and is dedicated to Roger Moore. The motive shows a colored depiction of the actor in a classic Bond™ pose. The iconic 007 pistol logo and the logos of the 007 films released between 1973 and 1985 - "Live and Let Die", "The Man with the Golden Gun", "The Spy who Loved Me", "Moonraker", "For Your Eyes Only", "Octopussy", and "A View to a Kill" - are also included in the design. The reverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, the dates of her reign "1952-2022", the denomination "50 DOLLAR," the year of issue 2023, and the weight and fineness "1/4 Oz 9999 Au."

Sir Roger Moore was the third actor to portray the British secret agent James Bond™. He appeared a total of seven times as the MI6 agent, holding the record. Moore set a new tone for the iconic spy, embodying a character as elegant as he was dangerous, often with a deadly sense of humor. As part of his Bond career, he not only took on memorable villains, but also had extraordinary gadgets and performed a number of impressive stunts. Roger Moore was born on October 14, 1927 in the London borough of Stockwell and died on May 23, 2017.
