He is one of the largest eagles in the world. The motive of the coin depicts a magnificent wedge-tailed eagle with fully extended wings and stylized sunrays in the background. The design of John M. Mercati includes the inscription AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE, the year 2019, the weight and fineness of the coin as well as the mintmark "P" of the Perth Mint. The reverse features the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the denomination.
