The 2021 release in the Australian Lunar III Series of the Perth Mint is dedicated to the Year of the Ox. Following the mouse, the Ox is the second animal in the Chinese Zodiac calendar. The second issue of the 12-year Lunar III series features an image of a powerful ox between bamboo stems. Also included in the design are the Chinese character for "Ox", the inscription "OX 2021" and the traditional mintmark "P" of the Perth Mint. The reverse shows the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the denomination, the weight and the fineness. The mintage is limited to only 188 pieces worldwide.
