The new issue of the Australian Lunar Series III of the Perth Mint is dedicated to the Year of the Snake. The Snake is the sixth animal in the Chinese zodiac calendar. The sixth issue of the 12-year Lunar III series features an intricately designed motif depicting a snake winding elegantly between bamboo stalks. The design includes the Chinese character for “snake”, the inscription “SNAKE 2025” and the Perth Mint's “P” mintmark. The reverse of the coin features a portrait of King Charles III designed by Dan Thorne. Also on this side are the coin's weight, fineness and denomination. The mintage is limited to only 188 pieces worldwide.
