The Canadian Maple Leaf is undoubtedly one of the most famous and popular coins in the world. Traditionally, the motive of the coin from the Royal Canadian Mint shows the national symbol and the ambassador of Canada - the Maple Leaf. Four magnificent maple leaves (Acer macrophyllum) are depicted on this exceptional Maple Leaf - Forever special edition, struck from one ounce of 99.95% platinum. Two of the four leaves have been selectively refined with yellow gold, making them stand out from the rest of the motive in a special way due to the resulting contrast. Likewise, the edge of the coin has been finished with yellow gold, adding further emphasis to the incomparable appearance of the coin. The inscriptions "CANADA", "PLATINUM", "PLATINE", "1 OZ" as well as the fineness "9995" surround the motive. Also included in the design are the dates "1988" and "2023" to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the first platinum Maple Leaf coin. The reverse shows Arnold Machin's historic portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II from 1967 and the denomination "300 DOLLARS".
