The Canadian Maple Leaf is undoubtedly one of the most famous and popular coins in the world. Traditionally, the motive of the coin from the Royal Canadian Mint shows the national symbol and the ambassador of Canada - the Maple Leaf. This remarkable 2019 Maple Leaf - Foever issue, is the first selectively enameled platinum coin of the Royal Canadian Mint. Struck from one ounce of 99,95% platinum, the design by the artist Celia Godkin features several magnificent silver maple leaves (Acer saccharinum) on a branch. As a special detail, the maple leaf in the foreground hangs upside-down and was colored in the typical autumn red. Thus making the delicate grain of the leaf clearly visible. The inscriptions "CANADA", "2019", "PLATINUM", "PLATINE", "1 oz" and the fineness "9995" are also included in the design. The reverse depicts the effigy of Her Queen Majesty Elizabeth II as well as the denomination. The silver maple grows from New Brunswick to the Manitoba-Ontario border and is namend after the silvery underside of its leaves. They produce a beautiful shimmering effect in the wind that is unique to this tree.
